Our premises have great training facilities providing 24 hour supervision and veterinary support for our dogs.
Each security dog and dog handler has training and assessment criteria. Each K9 team has weekly training in order to develop superior standards. This approach guarantees the needed results of 1st class standards for our clients.
The guard dog training school provides qualified dog trainers with the nationally recognised NASDU Codes of Practice for the training and needed requirements of security dogs, trainers, handlers and training companies.
Security Dog Handler Training
Security dog handler training courses require the candidate to have a good physical and mental condition. The security dog handlers have to learn in a short period of time new and different subjects like legislation, a range of veterinary practices and psychology. The courses are based on standards set by NASDU and are planned to give information and knowledge on how to care for their dogs, operational duties such as patrolling, search, safety, security duties and handler protection. Most significantly the security dog handler is taught how to control and command a dog though agility training and obedience control. Our dogs are assessed on their approachability and social skills as we often work in situations that put our dogs and their handlers in close proximity to the public.
